The health of our patients and our community is always our first priority. We are entering some challenging times with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) having been declared a world pandemic the WHO (World Health Organisation). Bells Corners Medical Group is taking steps to limit your exposure to keep you healthy and as safe as possible.
As of March 14, 2020, the following actions will be implemented at the clinic:

As of March 14, 2020, the following actions will be implemented at the clinic:
- Patients requesting to see their Primary Care Provider will be offered a virtual (telephone or a video conference) appointment if appropriate. You need to be aware of the confidentiality risk involved.
- No appointments for routine screenings will be booked until further notice, this includes
- Periodic Health Visits
- Annual Physicals
- PAP tests
- Well Baby Checkups where an immunization is NOT required.
- All currently booked appointments for routine screening will be postponed, you will be contacted by our staff to inform you.
- If we feel a virtual appointment is needed (telephone or video conference), we will offer it to you. We will be using Skype to facilitate video conferencing. You will need to understand the confidentiality risks. Click here to read more about the confidentiality risk involved.
BEFORE YOU COME TO THE CLINIC:
- DO NOT COME BEFORE CALLING, If you have a cough, fever, or have difficulty breathing; please call the clinic.
- If your appointment is not urgent, think about re-scheduling it for later this year.
- If you are running out of medication, please ask the pharmacist to give you an extension. If they are unwilling to do that, please ask them to fax the renewal request to the clinic.
- If you are sick, stay at home if possible. If you need a sick note for your employer, we have a standard letter that can be sent to you.
- If you still need to see a healthcare professional, please call us.
IF YOU COME TO THE CLINIC:
- You will be questioned when you arrive regarding any respiratory symptoms and travel.
- You will be given a surgical mask if you need one. Please keep it on at ALL times while you are at the Clinic.
- Sanitize your hands.
- Try to stay 2m (6ft) away from other people.
- Do not touch any surfaces.
GENERAL PRECAUTIONS:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water, or use hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth unless you have just washed your hands.
- Cover your cough and sneeze with a tissue or into your arm, not your hand. Also, make sure to wash your hands afterward.
- Practice Social Distancing.
